The Office Chair was built in the early 1980s and is 33 feet tall. It was built by the Miller Office Supply in the vacant lot next to its store. The chair originally had a spiral staircase leading to its seat. [map]

The Chair in Los Angeles shown above is located at the LA Mart, a furniture sales and distribution center. It is 40 feet tall and was installed in 2003. It was made in Italy by Friuli which made the World's Largest Chair. [map]

The Chair in West Hollywood was installed at the Pacific Design Center in 2002. It was designed by Selbert Perkins Design. The chair is entitled "The Seat of Design". It is 25 feet tall and made of stainless steel. [map]

The Rocking Chair in Hagerstown was installed on the roof of the Hagerstown Furniture Outlet. This photo is from 2003. Sometime between 2011 and 2013, it was repainted lime green. By 2015, it was painted blue. In 2017, the store was closed but the chair was still on the roof. It was gone by 2019.

The Rocking Chair in Anderson stands in front of an unidentified, former business. This photo is from 2010. Unfortunately, I did not make note of the address so I can't confirm if this chair is still there. Does anyone know where it is or was?

The Rocking Chair in Waynesville is about 12 feet tall and was built around 1994. Since this photo from 2003, it has been painted red. [map]

This Rocking Chair is 21 feet tall and 14 feet wide. It was made from Douglas fir trunks in 1990 for Doxey's Apple Shed. Doxey's has been closed since 2008 but the chair remains behind the chain link fencing which surrounds the property. For more, see this website. [map]

The Rocker in Waldo is known as the Big Chair. It is meant to draw attention to flea market next to it. [map]

The Rocker in Crawfordville was built by Anthony Lariscy. It was installed in front of Waypoint Properties sometime between 2016 and 2019. [map]

The Rocker in Branson was installed around 2013 in front of Old Time Photos. The building now houses Outback Slingshots and the Rocker remains. [map]

The Star of Texas Rocker is 26 feet tall and weighs 4 tons. It is made of cedar logs. The Rocker is located at Texas Hill Country Furniture & Mercantile. [map]

The Chair in Pinetop was about 15 feet tall and 8 feet across. It was made of pine by Curt Meyer who makes other furniture for the Wild Woods store. This photo was taken in 2004. By 2012, the store and chair were gone.

The Warren Chair is installed next to James Income Tax Service. [map]

The 25-foot-tall Mio Chair is located at Genevieve's Flowers & Gifts. It was made from cedar by James Jennings in 2004. [map]

The Gulfport Rocker is 35 feet tall and made of pine. It stands in front of the Dedeaux Clan Furniture Factory. It was damaged in 2005 during Hurricane Katrina. In 2007, it was restored by the Hampton Save a Landmark program. [map]

The New Braunfels Rocker stood next to the Mexican Rocker Cafe. The chair remained although the building was later used for adult day care. This photo is from 2006. By 2013, the chair had been painted white. In 2021, the chair was removed.

The Bunker Hill Rocker is about 13 feet tall. It was built around 1978 for a furniture refinishing business and has been replaced twice. There doesn't seem to be a related business there now. [map]

The Rocker in La Grande is installed on the roof of Northwest Furniture and Mattress. It has been there since at least 2012. This photo is from 2016. [map]

The Rocker in Austinburg is 25 feet tall "Boston rocking chair". It was built in the 1960s for a furniture company. As of 2005, it stands next to Country Cousins which sells gazebos, storage barns and gifts. The store has previously been a lumberyard and a video store. [map]

The Rocker in Cuba is 46 feet tall. It was built in 2008 from wood and steel. For more, see this website. [map]

The Chair in Emlenton was located behind the Citgo station right off I-80. The chair and the accompanying giant wheelbarrow behind it may have been an advertising gimmick for Jo Jo's Country Gift Shoppe nearby. In 2005 when this photo was taken, the chair was in pretty bad shape. By 2008, both the chair and wheelbarrow were gone.

This School Desk was installed at the Manitou Arts Center around 2012. In 2012, it was painted red and a ladder was added for photo-ops. [map]

The Easy Glider Rocking Chair is located at the Big Chair Resort. It is about 33 feet tall and is made entirely of logs. It was built in 2008. [map]

The Adirondack Chair in Fredericksburg was 10 feet tall. It was installed in front of Oak Barn Solid Oak Furniture in 2001. In 2004, a driver fell asleep at the wheel and destroyed the chair. It was restored and then, in 2005, the chair was picked up and damaged in a windstorm. It was repaired again and installed more securely. By 2007, the chair was repainted red, white, and blue (second photo above). By 2009, the store and the chair were gone. There was an identical chair at the store's Ruckersville, VA location which is also gone. I don't know if this chair is still there. [first photo thanks Jonathan at Oak Barn]

The Adirondack Chair in St. Paul was originally built in 1995 for the Green Chair Project. The chair was made of untreated materials and was rebuilt in 2002. It is located in North High Bridge Park. [map]

The Adirondack Chair in D.C. stands on the front lawn of Duke Ellington School. It was built in 1996 by Georgetown University students as a gift to the Ellington School as part of the Green Chair Project. [map]

The Adirondack Chair in Sonoma was one of two purple chairs installed at Cornerstone Place. This photo is from 2008. The chair was still there in 2015 but gone by 2016.

The Adirondack Chair in Pine Mountain is located at Callaway Gardens.

The Adirondack Chair in Marathon has been located at Fred's Beds since at least 2018. [map]

The Adirondack Chair in Panacea was located in front of Two Blondes Liquor and Gifts. It was built by Anthony Lariscy and installed sometime after 2016. It was gone by 2021.

The Chair in Lee's Summit was originally built as the entrance for MTC Furniture. By 2012, the building was housing Midland Marble & Granite. The chair is still there. [map]

This Patio Chair is located inside Sunnyland Patio Furniture. It is about seven feet tall. The chair has been here since the early 1990s. It represents a Tamiami lounge chair by Brown Jordan.
